Zach Adams Brings Dark Storytelling to Alternative Metal with “Dead Man Walking”

Zach Adams delivers a powerful meeting of music and fiction with “Dead Man Walking,” an alternative metal track created as the theme song for their horror/fantasy novel Dead Man Walking: Narrator’s Cut, the first book in the Ivyverse series.

Drawing influence from Metallica, Alice in Chains, Black Sabbath, and even Danny Elfman, the song combines heavy intensity with a dark and haunting atmosphere. Inspired by the emotional turbulence of anxiety, “Dead Man Walking” explores inner turmoil through forceful vocals, crushing instrumentation, and a strong balance between grit and melody.

Produced by Adams and released through their label, Splitting Adams Entertainment, the single also opens a larger creative project. It is the first of 11 tracks designed to serve as a soundtrack to the book, connecting music and storytelling within the same world.
