Debut Album “PROCESSING” by Waveform Mountain

Vancouver Island alt-synth duo Waveform Mountain are a father/daughter duo whose highly-anticipated debut album PROCESSING was released on May 3, 2024. A real surprise of a project sees lyricist and lead singer Candace Woodland teaming up with synth wizard Jon Woodland and guitar, bass and backing vocalist Seb Woodland to form the musically strange, but marvellously mosh-able — Woodland (the band) for this inspired musical excursion.

An initial challenge to write music grew into an album full of rich synth landscapes and forceful, self-reflective lyrics. PROCESSING has 12 songs that delve into ideas of finding yourself, staying strong, and healing. With lyrical depth in songs such as “The Hermit,” “Resilience,” and “Ignite” Candace touches upon a theory of human legacy; behind them, Jon’s sound design floats ethereally beneath the narrative that dares to tell the tale of how our souls live on.
