The Links Present Their New Single “Elvira”

Alternative group The Links from Lafayette, LA recently came out with their latest single, “Elvira,” which combines other worldly aspects with a reflective and cheerful tone. The song is a first for the band as it tries new dreamy shoegaze and post-punk styles while still aiming to keep their signature sound.

“Elvira” features Morrison’s clear and emotive vocals accompanied by soothing, ethereal guitars and a powerful, driving rhythm section. The track is sure to delight fans of Deftones, Interpol, Radiohead, and other similar bands, as they explore themes of personal struggle and catharsis, showcasing the journey of grief and sobriety that Morrison had to undergo. 

Local musicians have made Warganized Records Backroom Studio in Lafayette their home, and this was the studio where the track was recorded. With “Elvira,” The Links continue to push their sound further while shedding the mask of emotion that has always been present in their music.
