Originally from the Washington D.C. and Virginia area and now based in Fort Lauderdale, The DMV, also known as the Demented Musical Verbalizer, uses Cappin’ as a reflection of real-life experiences and observations. Created in response to the noise of mainstream narratives and political rhetoric, the album delivers raw storytelling rooted in authenticity.

Recorded entirely at home, Cappin’ emerged from what The DMV describes as a ferocious creative process. The project explores a wide range of subjects, including gentrification, homelessness, rebellion, and life in South Florida, all delivered through intricate rhyme schemes and vivid street-level storytelling.
