  **A:** “Drew Barrymore” was the outcome of a mix of personal experiences and witnessing friends’ relationships. The song was created to capture the myriad of emotions linked to insecurity, longing and self worth.

2. **Q:** The lyrics are deeply introspective. How do you approach writing such raw and vulnerable lyrics?

  **A:** Writing raw and vulnerable lyrics is an easy task for me as it feels organic and genuine in my music. I find that listeners genuinely connect with music when they can hear true stories about other peoples lives.

3. **Q:** What do you hope listeners will get from this particular song?

  **A:** By listening to the song I hope people can relate just a little bit with what’s being said and know that they aren’t alone in their struggles, especially in terms of loving themselves.

4. **Q:** Why is it so important for society to understand the message behind your chorus where you say “Warm enough for ya outside baby, yeah / Is it warm enough for ya inside me.”?

  **A:** It symbolizes how sometimes we’re thirsty for more than just physical love but an emotional one as well.

5. **Q:** Why did you reference Drew Barrymore specifically?

  **A:** She’s pretty much always been a sex symbol in society so by referencing her name I wanted to speak about how we go through great lengths trying to meet societies standards even when they could be harmful.

6. **Q:** In the lyrics you apologize for not reaching certain beauty standards or femininity levels, why was that important to touch on?

  **A:**
 It has always bothered me how women hold themselves back because of societies rules on what “beauty” really is but don’t get me wrong, beauty is a broad term but I wanted to speak on self acceptance and self love.

  **A:** It was emotional. I’m an artist who likes to feel every word they say. So each take of that song was me really putting my heart into it in order to do the lyrics justice.

  **A:** The song is purely a witness to my growth as an artist. It’s very personal so it just adds depth to my entire collection of songs.

  **A:** I’ve always had a great deal of humility in my body so receiving all of this love has just humbled me even more and made me grateful for everyone involved in its success, both directly and indirectly.
