Stray Blue Unveil “Wake Up & Smile – Acoustic Version” on July 18th

Stray Blue, cherished independent trio of Chania, Hellas, is back with the touching EP “Wake Up & Smile – Acoustic Version,” coming this Friday, 18th of July. As a 20-year celebration of musical storytelling, the EP features the inspiring title track, together with atmospheric track “Moody Sky” featuring renowned cellist Yoed Nir.

Founded by songwriter and guitarist Nick Anastasakis, with George Athanas on bass and vocals and George Papazoglou on drums, Stray Blue has long been known for their warm acoustic melodies and introspective lyrics. Born in Thessaloniki, off a specially pitched 12-string guitar, a new acoustic record combines fragile forms with meditations on resistance and hope.

This limited release of 7 inch vinly is a document of a historic moment for the group, which commemorates the group’s long-standing legacy on the indie scene of Greece. “Wake Up & Smile – Acoustic Version” invites us to a nostalgic, emotional place ideal for off-time periods of isolation.
