Shmeisani Jazz Massive record a historic moment in their song “As War Starts!”

“The As War Starts!” single of Shmeisani Jazz Massive comes across as a strong introduction of their debut self-titled album in which they recorded a rather interesting musical moment. Based in Amman, Jordan, Shmeisani Jazz Massive is a worldwide collective of artists who bring with themselves a number of experiences that have been influential over the decades.

In line with the nature of the collective itself, “As War Starts!” was formed as an output of some of the group’s first improvisations. In essence, the debut album of Shmeisani Jazz Massive was recorded through the first ten sessions that they held. The uniqueness of this single comes not only in its musical composition but also in the historical moment when it was recorded. Indeed, the single was recorded the very night in which the latest war in the Middle East broke out, and there is no denying that fact since one can clearly hear air raid sirens at the end of the track.

This particularity adds to the authenticity of the whole musical piece, thus making it seem less like a product of imagination and more like a representation of something truly experienced. Indeed, as the music was produced fully in-house, that is, recorded in their basement recording studio in Shmeisani district, the collective’s name adds an additional flavor to their music.

This was even confirmed by one of their friends, saying that it is a product of its time yet at the same time it is a light shining in the darkness of those times. It is therefore possible to assume that this particular single represents this idea perfectly.

To date, Shmeisani Jazz Massive is still in the process of producing their music without performing any concerts as of yet or even advertising the new single.
