Sheldon Mashugana Brings Halloween Fun With “Monster Mash”

Sheldon Mashugana is celebrating spooky season with his own playful version of “Monster Mash,” released on 18th September 2026. The single offers a lighthearted take on Bobby Pickett’s famous 1962 Halloween classic while giving the song a new personality that fits Sheldon Mashugana’s comedy style.

The track was recorded at Justin Pierce Music studio in Dallas, Texas, where Dean Morgan, the performer behind Sheldon Mashugana, regularly works with producer Justin Pierce. Pierce handled the recording and mixing, continuing a creative partnership that has become an important part of Morgan’s musical projects.

Rather than using live instruments, the recording was created with a karaoke backing track. Morgan explained that one of the main challenges was finding the right pacing for the vocals. Once he understood how he wanted to approach the performance, however, the song became much easier and more enjoyable to record.

One of the most distinctive details is the inclusion of the word “Mashugana” in the chorus. It gives the familiar Halloween song a humorous twist while connecting it directly to Sheldon Mashugana’s goofy and slapstick personality.

Morgan has long been a fan of the original “Monster Mash” and had wanted to record a version for Sheldon Mashugana. The result feels perfectly matched to a character built around comedy, fun and feel-good entertainment.

Outside music, Morgan has created 18 Sheldon Mashugana slapstick comedy films on YouTube and continues to grow the character across different platforms. Television appearances in Santa Fe are also scheduled throughout October and November.

With “Monster Mash,” Sheldon Mashugana delivers a cheerful Halloween release built around nostalgia, comedy and a simple goal: giving people something fun to enjoy and a reason to smile.
