RISE Bring New Energy to “Hard To Leave You”

Liverpool rock band RISE returned on July 24 with “Hard To Leave You,” a high-energy single that gives new life to a song first featured on their 2024 Memories and Possibilities EP.

Presented as the Barbarian mix, the new version was created to capture more of the aggression and energy that RISE brings to the song during live performances. Recorded at Whitewood Studios in Liverpool and produced by Rob Whiteley and Paul Kinley, the track moves at a fast pace while keeping the band’s rich and distinctive sound firmly in place.

stayMellow delivers a standout vocal performance, supported by stacked harmonies, while Brian Petch’s detailed guitar work receives a well-deserved spotlight. The combination of guitars, synths and melodic hooks makes the track immediately catchy.

Written by Paul Kinley, “Hard To Leave You” explores the uncertainty surrounding the possible end of a relationship, leaving the final decision deliberately unresolved. It is an energetic and engaging return that showcases RISE at their most confident.
