Remit Unleash Debut Album ‘Questions Unanswered’

Naarm-Melbourne trio Remit have just dropped their debut album Questions Unanswered, a powerful fusion of rock, post-punk and krautrock that cements their place as one of the city’s most compelling acts. Following on from singles Posthuman and Good Friends, the record delivers an unflinching reflection on life in an increasingly fractured world.

Written in the band’s notorious underground “concrete bunker” — a damp, dimly lit hideaway that feels like a post-apocalyptic shelter — the album captures the raw energy, tension and emotion of its creation. Lyrically, it traverses heartbreak, existential crisis and political frustration, channelling both rage and a search for healing.

Recorded at Lily Street Studios in Coburg with Simon Maisch and mastered by Don Bartley, Questions Unanswered showcases Remit’s intensity both in sound and vision, building on their reputation from sharing stages with acts like Buddhadatta, Vogli Bonze and Sister Paul.
