NOCOLOUR Returns To The Scene With New EP NUMBERS
Afro House duo NOCOLOUR has understandably received a lot of attention with their fresh release of their debut EP , ‘NUMBERS’. It is a colorful and soulful endeavor that came out on May 2 under Black Waxx, and now it’s getting global acclaim. The duo consists of old friends and collaborators Marcus Voss and Will Hernandez and their different backgrounds can be heard in the fresh genre-pushing blend of sound they have created, rooted in German electronic production and deep Cuban rhythms.
In his home studio, Marcus blends spontaneity and the raw energy of unfiltered emotion. The end result is a captivating chronicle of an artistic journey, mid-transformation. What began as two simple tracks became a fully fledged concept over the course of multiple sessions, Marcus recounts, “We just locked in. Every single track was better than the last one.”
Early attention from BBC Introducing (Radio Solent) is just the icing on the cake for Number Four, which is sure to captivate listeners with its intricate vocals and bycotic grooves of Afro Tech. As hypnotic as is emotionally striking, the standout track can only foreshadow an EP that commands dancefloors and heartstrings at the same time.
Drawing muzik influences from key Afro House artists like Keinemusik, Black Coffee, and Solomun, NOCOLOUR emphasizes warm grooves and deep sonic storytelling with meditative percussion. While every song is distinct, they all embody the same essence of rhythm and movement.
Though relatively new performers, NUMBERS provides superb and exhilarating first impressions—adding to why this duo should be watched. Like they said themselves: “This music is meant for the public and we hope they enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it.”
