Independent artist Nadia Song has released her latest album ROSC (Return Of Spontaneous Circulation)-a ten-song journey through influences in hip-hop, jazz, and R’n’B. Authentic to herself, Nadia wrote, recorded, and self-promoted the album-a truly personal project.

Influenced by greats like Eminem, Epik High, and Kendrick Lamar, Nadia charges ROSC with sharp lyricism, moody beats, and smooth jazz elements. Each track is outstanding in its vibe, from the laidback jazz-infused Hospital Playlist to the energetic afrobeat rhythms of All Good, down to the sultry RnB tones in Confidential.

The concept of the album is rooted in both medical and emotional themes. The first track, ROSC, refers to the return of spontaneous circulation after CPR, symbolizing the resurgence of emotions and personal reinvention. Nadia’s departure from the medical field, specifically cardiology, heavily influenced the project, reflecting her experiences and frustrations within the industry.

ROSC was recorded in Amsterdam, her hometown, and represents growth from an artist that had to get over self-doubt in order to fully give herself to hip-hop. As she says, “I hope my honesty and vulnerability in writing these songs make listeners feel the authenticity behind it.”
