Unity and Peace Explored: MONKEYRAT’s New Single “Where’s The Peace”

Just recently, MONKEYRAT released their latest single entitled “Where’s The Peace,” featuring the amazingly talented Ayi Solomon. For the first time, the members themselves have come together to create this track from their diverse backgrounds: Arnold Ludvig from the Faroe Islands, Jens Stoklund from Denmark, Alain Apaloo from Togo, and Anna Iachino from Canada (Italy). This upbeat tune uniquely combines Western music with African influences into one universal, rich sound.

Anna Iachino, vocalist and songwriter of MonkeyRat, wanted to produce a piece that would cut across all layers of society. “Where’s The Peace” is a track that sends an impassioned message of unity, and the much-needed peace by this world. The track joyfully incorporates the laughter of children to serve as that pretty reminder that peace allows the simple joys of life.
