Michellar Releases New Album REVERIE ….FROM THEN TILL NOW

San Francisco based artist Michellar has released her original album REVERIE ….FROM THEN TILL NOW, marking an important moment in her creative journey. The album arrived on January 2, 2026, and presents a deeply personal body of work shaped by years of musical influence, life experience, and renewed artistic confidence.

REVERIE ….FROM THEN TILL NOW features 11 tracks written by Michellar, with music and lyrics that reflect her growth as a songwriter. The project was created in collaboration with producer Tobias Wilson, whose guidance played a key role in bringing the album to life. Their creative partnership began in October 2024 and has since resulted in a wide catalog of songs, many of which have already found an audience on Soundcloud and Spotify. Wilson’s understanding of Michellar’s vision helped shape the soundscapes she had imagined since her teenage years.

The album draws from a rich musical background rooted in folk traditions and storytelling. Influences such as Peter Paul and Mary, James Taylor, and Carole King can be felt throughout the project, alongside elements shaped by Michellar’s exposure to Latin music and musical theater. These early inspirations, combined with her experiences later in life, give the album a reflective and grounded tone.

REVERIE ….FROM THEN TILL NOW is also a story of rediscovery. After stepping away from music for decades to focus on her landscape design business, Michellar found her way back to songwriting following a pivotal moment in July 2023, when her work was accepted into the deYoung Museum Open Call Exhibition. That renewed confidence opened the door for an outpouring of creativity, leading to the writing and release of numerous songs in a short period of time.

With this album, Michellar invites listeners into a space of introspection, acceptance, and storytelling. REVERIE ….FROM THEN TILL NOW stands as a testament to perseverance, creative passion, and the power of finally finding one’s voice after years of silence.
