MARTIN KUIPER
Remarkable Dutch artist Martin Kuiper releases his first album “To Feel is To Believe”
At Age 49, Dutch artist Martin Kuiper released his debut under a well known record label ‘To Feel Is To Believe” on June 14, 2024. This marks the amazing accomplishment of turning an entire life’s passion into reality. His music journey is filled with wonder which leads to the conclusion most of us already know, that is, embracing your passion at your own pace is rewarding.
His journey of releasing an album has been anything but typical. He was always fond of music, but for some reason decided to pursue his undergrad education in physics, followed with a stint in journalism where he did an internship at MTV London. This was just the start as following the internship, he founded Face Culture, a revolutionary platform that hosts nearly 15,000 video interviews with musicians around the globe. His exposure to the entire music world along with encouragement from friends truly motivated Martin to finally try his hands at personal songwriting.
To Feel Is To Believe contains the work of multi-instrumentalists Erik Neimeijer and Jim Zwinselman alongside Ruud Tijs, who produced the album at Hillroad Records. The record encompasses a mix of pop and rock, melding melodic instrumentation with captivating vocals and sincere sentiments. The title resonates deeply with Martin’s artistic evolution – a poignant message about feeling and faith as guiding forces in one’s life.
Familiar with tracks like Ice Flower, which was written decades ago and is now accompanied by newer regional compositions from Dutch cities, listeners will be able to experience a rich tapestry of sound. Love, vulnerability, struggle, and hope converge in Emotion Dealer, Until I Die, and So You Left Me With A Smile.
Martin’s live performance at Hedon Zwolle on June 16 marks the occasion as his debut in front of an audience subsequent to the album’s release, which will be accompanied by a talented backup band. This sets the stage for Martin Kuiper’s new ventures, which include an EP and a rock album under development.
This collection is not only an album, but a new beginning, and most certainly a driving force behind an emerging career that should be watched closely.
