Mark Vennis & Different Place Release New Single “Solid Ground”

Mark Vennis and Different Place’s latest single titled “Solid Ground” was released on February 21st, 2025. The single “Solid Ground” was part of their previous album, “Sunrise EP”, but this remix is accompanied by three versions of the song, each claiming to bring a new facet to a unique story.

Raw and unfiltered, Solid Ground captures the essence of the urgent problems threatening humanity. The song captures the sense of impending doom as civilization crumbles, and nature is on the verge of total collapse due to floods, wild fires, raging storms and everything in between. Raw energy shrouded in a slice of hope is how the song conveys the ultimate message.

The release is also accompanied by three additional versions to the track, including an acoustic option. Staying true to the band’s signature mix of punk attitude, soul, and blues, the single version delivers exactly what the audience expects from them. Removing all additional layers, the emotion intimate core of the song is captured in the acoustic version. While the “Escape” remix dubs the song in a new cinematic, dystopian edge drawing inspiration from John Carpenter’s legendary electronic film scores.
