Mark J Soler releases new single “The Seventh Wave”

Independent musician and composer Mark J Soler has shared his latest instrumental single, The Seventh Wave, a moving piano piece that reflects both personal inspiration and artistic depth.

Written and recorded in Paris in early May 2025, the song was inspired by Soler’s young son, who loves diving into the ocean and playfully insists that the seventh wave is always the lucky one. Rather than trying to mimic the sound of the sea, Soler set out to translate the emotions of that joyful moment into music. The result is a piano-only track that carries a romantic and expressive touch, different from his usual pop, jazz, and funk-infused productions.

Listeners streaming on Spotify will also get a glimpse of the inspiration behind the track, as the accompanying video features Soler’s son in action at the beach. It adds a layer of authenticity to a song already rooted in love, admiration, and the innocence of childhood wonder.

Born in Lyon and now based near Paris, Soler balances his career in computer engineering with his passion for music, self-producing and releasing his own work.
