Marcus: The Apex Predator! Returns with New EP “Newborn Fossil”

Detroit-based post-hardcore trio Marcus: The Apex Predator! have released their latest EP, “Newborn Fossil,” which is out now. The band gained a loyal following after their 2018 debut, “The Fury of Almost.” Life happened, and so did work and everything else in between, but now, after a hiatus, the band is back with a vengeance and a gut-wrenching record that screams intensity through the veins of raw storytelling and unparalleled musicianship.

“Newborn Fossil,” which showcases the band’s lethal blend of musical might, raw storytelling, and brutal prowess, was engineered and mixed by Jake Shives, with mastering done by Grammy winning Detroit legend Dave Feeny at Tempermill Studios. The band is formed by Kevin Watts on guitar/vocals/songwriting; Nick Marko on drums & Sean Bondareff on bass. The early reviews are in and critics have labeled the EP a ‘blistering return,’ and ‘a thunderous brio,’ so the anticipation is tangible.
