Make Believe Love Releases Witty New Single Kid with a Dad Bod
Los Angeles-based powerpop collective Make Believe Love has just dropped their latest single, “Kid with a Dad Bod,” offering a humorous and insightful take on the realities of middle age in 2025. Featuring intricate guitarmonies and clever, relatable lyrics, the track highlights Lucas Berman’s knack for blending satire with infectious melodies.
Recorded at Red Gate Recorders in Glassell Park and mastered by Sterling Sounds, the single benefits from the contributions of John Anderson on bass and guitar and Louie Diller on synth, who also produced the track. Drawing inspiration from Pavement, The Replacements, Warren Zevon, and Pinkerton-era Weezer, Make Believe Love fuses classic influences with a modern twist.
Following a recent performance at the Redwood Saloon, the band has upcoming shows in Los Angeles in February 2026. “Kid with a Dad Bod” promises to be a standout moment in Make Believe Love’s discography, combining wit, charm, and musical finesse.
