Kevin Driscoll Releases Solo Single Black It Out
Kevin Driscoll has recently released his first solo single, Black It Out, a milestone in his musical career. Written and performed wholly by Driscoll, the song deals with the heartache of letting go of a relationship.
Black It Out features a searing synth solo by Jeremiah Johnson, who also mastered and mixed the session. The polished sound of the song was influenced by sound engineer Richard Dudley at Jacksonville, Florida’s Long Jump Records.
Influenced by musicians like Bruce Cockburn, Joni Mitchell, Nick Cave, and Weather Report, Driscoll’s poignant words and distinctive voice are heard in this intense single. The single, as per Driscoll, speaks of a point where there’s no hope left and it’s impossible to continue.
Currently streaming everywhere, Black It Out invites everyone in to share its unapologetic candor and emotional depth, announcing Driscoll’s new musical era with promise.
