Karen Salicath Jamali Shares Dream-Born Piano Piece “Mary’s Blessing”

Today, multi-award-winning composer, pianist, and artist Karen Salicath Jamali unveils her new piano single, “Mary’s Blessing.” The piece is now officially released across all platforms and arrives as a heartfelt continuation of her remarkable journey as an artist whose music bridges the spiritual and the human.

“Mary’s Blessing” came to Karen in a dream, an experience that has become central to her creative process since her near-death experience in 2012. She woke early one morning and recorded the melody on her Steinway piano, capturing the fragile beauty of that vision. As Karen describes it, the music is “a reminder of her presence, like a fragile leaf of a rose; every beam of light on it was a rhythm of her heart.” The composition reflects love, simplicity, and a comforting sense of protection, reminding listeners of the peace found in clarity and sincerity of heart.

The single’s artwork features one of Karen’s own sculptures, symbolizing the gentle strength of Mary and the eternal bond between mother and child. The piece was mastered by Maria Triana, a renowned engineer who has worked with legends like Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan, Miles Davis, and Diana Ross, as well as modern icons such as Sting and Whitney Houston.

Karen’s story continues to inspire. After a life-altering accident, she began composing and performing piano music spontaneously, despite never having played before. Since then, she has released eight albums, composed more than 2,500 works, and performed solo at Carnegie Hall eight times.

“Mary’s Blessing” is more than just music, it’s an offering of light. As Karen shares, “I hope it brings you peace. And if it speaks to your heart, share it with someone who may need a little uplifting light today.”
