James Shumway Releases New Music Video “To the One I Love”

James Shumway recently released a brand new music video for the piano solo titled, “To the One I Love.” He calls this piece a love letter in the form of music. It is accompanied with a video captured in Aspen Grove, Utah, which is stunning in its beauty with the massive peaks of Mount Timpanogos in the background. Nick Sales, who has previously worked with The Piano Guys, did an incredible job melding Shumway’s music with the visuals around him by capturing the essence of his song.

To the One I love follows the rest of the pieces of Shumway’s previous two self released piano pieces, “IOU,” and “Regrets.” Shumway describes “IOU” as encapsulating the magic of falling in love with the person who is your soulmate while “Regrets” describes the emotional pain of a tortured soul who wishes they could go back and change things. “To the One I Love” encompasses the feelings of strong affection and love towards a person.

Having started learning Classical Piano at the tender age of 6, Shumway is known to have his music compared to the great romantic composer Rachmaninoff. This latest release continues to highlight Shumway’s parted mastery of the piano and his ability to pour out deep emotion in every note he plays.
