’MP8’ is a Canadian Showcase of what the Future Holds for Latin Urban Music
Canada’s latin urban music industry gained another milestone with the bold single titled “MP8” featuring eight talented and emerging artists: Gretch’N, Najove, $erna, Da Ink, Coreano, Lestter Aldana, Vers-H Man, and Elsen. This single is produced by KBMP and executive producer Jacky G. It is a symbol of creativity, oneness and the abundant talent in Montreal’s Latin community.
Gretch’N is a Cuban singer and dancer: whose sound is heavily influenced by her heritage. Her style is unique, as is each of the other artist’s mixes and blends reggaeton with urban modern music. Najove was born in montreal to a chilean and dominican family, and his high pitch voice is famous. Even so, $erna matches him with versatile melodies, heavily influenced by J Balvin and Maluma. Da Ink hails from Cuba and puts a mix of escola dance music, hip hop, reggaeton, as well as popular Aztec beats into his songs. Coreano, on the other hand, is a Bolivian singer who blends R&B and pop and Lestter Aldana from Guatemala is the first of the new wave of reggaeton singers. Vers-H Man and Elsen from Peru and Cuba add the bottom layers of this track.
The music video also received it’s crown jewel with the direction of Prix Gémeaux award winner Carlos War, leading to the stunning five minute videos featuring vivid landscapes and captivating dance choreography at it’s heart.
“MP8” symbolizes a thrilling milestone for Latin urban music in Canada – the convergence of new voices in powerful synergy.
