Giuseppe Cucé releases his introspective new album 21grammi

Giuseppe Cucé, the Catania-born singer and songwriter, returns with a deeply personal and emotionally charged project: his new original album 21grammi, released on June 20, 2025. Built around the idea of the invisible weight we all carry, the album explores themes of memory, desire, loss, and the emotional gravity that shapes who we become.

Cucé describes 21grammi as a journey of confession and reconstruction, and that sense of inner rebirth resonates throughout the record. Blending Italian songwriting with modern indie-pop textures, the album unfolds like a cinematic soundscape. Tracks such as Ventuno and Una notte infinita form the emotional core of the project, capturing moments of fragility, strength, and honest self-reflection.

The album was recorded at TRP Studios in Catania, a place that played a crucial role in reconnecting the artist with his roots. Producer Riccardo Samperi helped shape a warm and atmospheric sound, combining analogue craftsmanship with subtle electronic elements. A team of talented musicians, from the TRP Studio Orchestra to contributors on piano, Hammond organ, and percussion, enriched the emotional depth of each piece.

Cucé’s writing is influenced by Italian icons like Battiato and Dalla, as well as international artists such as Bon Iver and James Blake, and these inspirations can be felt in the album’s blend of intimate vocals and expansive arrangements.

As Giuseppe prepares for his 21Uniradio Tour 2025 this December, 21grammi offers listeners a powerful reflection on vulnerability, identity, and the traces of everything we survive.
