GIANFRANCO GFN
GIANFRANCO GFN’s Jumping Around is an Explosion of Happy Groove
GIANFRANCO GFN is back with an infectious new instrumental single, Jumping Around, in anticipation of his new album later this June. Melding genres as is his habit with GIANFRANCO GFN, the guitarist is abetted by some of his finest working partners in David Caraccio (keyboard & bass), Nicolas Pittet (drums), Claude-Alain Biedermann (keyboard), Lucien Matthey (percussion), and Fred Stalder (trumpet) in creating something really quite special
Jumping Around is an uninhibited blend of soul, acid-jazz, and groove with that unmistakable GIAZZ! touch that has become synonymous with Gianfranco GFN’s work. The end product is an infectious, effervescent song with the impact of an open window of fresh air. Its soulful melodies and uplifting rhythms invite the listener to move, to feel, and escape.
Worthy of note is the manner in which each musician contributes to the soundscape. The song flows along nicely but is emotive and precise with just the right combination of form and improv. It’s the kind of song that’s just as comfortable in some laid-back living room as on some hot summer dance floor.
As an introduction to the entire album, Jumping Around does exactly what it says it will do: it pumps you up and has you wanting to hear more. GIANFRANCO GFN’s latest release is an experience – one that raises the bar for the rest of the offerings later this month
Keep on listening. The groove has just begun
