Georgian instrumental project East Duo is set to unveil its latest single, Chumi, on June 26, 2026. Following the remarkable success of their breakthrough composition Chubina, the trio now presents a deeply personal and emotionally resonant piece that explores themes of loss, remembrance, and the silence left behind by conflict.

The title Chumi translates as “silent” in Georgian, a fitting name for a composition inspired by the lasting impact of war. Founded by Levan Bantsadze and Giorgi Matkava and later joined by Mamuka Matkava, East Duo has built a distinctive identity by blending traditional Georgian musical influences with contemporary cinematic arrangements.
