DOWNTOWN MYSTIC
DownTown Mystic is preparing to release the new single “Maybe Love’s A Crime” on October 9, bringing a surprising new direction following the success of the Mystic Highway Road Trip and On E Street Remix EPs.
The track features an impressive lineup, with Jeff Levine delivering a standout piano performance alongside drummer Steve Holley and bassist Paul Page. The rhythm section brings a classic shuffle to the song, an idea suggested by Page and inspired by his work with rock’n’roll legend Dion. Remarkably, Holley and Page recorded their parts in just one take.
Created by writer and producer Robert Allen, DownTown Mystic continues to blend old-school recording techniques with a modern approach to American rock’n’roll. “Maybe Love’s A Crime” will arrive worldwide through The Orchard/Sony Music, before heading to US College Radio on October 13.
The single offers another intriguing chapter for DownTown Mystic in what has already been a busy and successful 2026.
