Delta of Venus Reissues with Ethereal Second Single “Intertwined”

Delta of Venus dropped their sophomore single “Intertwined”, a dreamy shoegaze, to follow up from their debut “Disengaged”. The band showcases a mature sound in the song by combining rich textures with reflective lyricism. “Intertwined” itself discusses chaos in the midst of togetherness, and empathy in strangers.

The twist in this release is its accompaniment of an acoustic version. Originally half-jokingly remarked upon by bass player Mat Tarbox during a rehearsal session at Dirt Floor Recording and Production, that such a project was instead realized as guitarist Ellery Twining demoed with his set of acoustic guitars. The product is the rare occurrence of Acoustic Shoegaze which sounds at once intimate as well as vast.

On “Intertwined,” Delta of Venus explore more of their sound but by no means step out of their introspective zone. It’s a rich, thoughtful sophomore album that you find yourself looking forward to hearing more from this artistic collective. Stream both versions of the song here.
