D.D.R. Turns Up the Fun with New Single “Fire at Will”

Indiana-based songwriting project D.D.R. has returned with “Fire at Will,” a playful melodic rock single released on September 30.

Created by novelist and songwriter Stephen Paul, the track opens the project’s second chapter with a humorous story built around one unlucky character named Will. What starts as an ordinary day quickly turns into a string of increasingly absurd encounters involving police, robbers, baseball players and even a military firing range.

The comedy is matched by D.D.R.’s energetic rock sound, featuring driving guitars, powerful drums, layered vocals and a large melodic chorus. The track also includes an explosive bridge, drum barrage and guitar solo.

A comic-book-style music video expands the story further with visual jokes, illustrated scenes and a fourth-wall break.

With “Fire at Will,” D.D.R. shows that melodic hard rock can be powerful, catchy and genuinely fun at the same time.
