Creativity Nativity Scene Releases New EP Sometimes We Arrive At The Short Fall
On March 8, Australian musician Adam Lloyd Davis under the name Creativity Nativity Scene released a new EP titled Sometimes We Arrive At The Short Fall. This work stands out as yet another fascinating chapter in Adams’ deep musical voyage.
Davis, who started his musical career in 2013, started creating music while bedridden due to illness. He records and composes using nothing but his iPhone and a slew of apps which drastically alter the sounds he records. The result is an unconventional fusion of Western Cinematic music and something deeply personal. His debut album Mobile Homes & Remote Villages was known for its magnificently crafted prose, and this new EP builds upon that structure.
Tracks on the EP Sometimes We Arrive At The Short Fall are less intense than Davis’ previous tracks, but with the same message. Stand out songs on the album have more subdued feels but breathe power and inspire strength like A Son is Born and The Prophet. Unlike his more serious work, Davis cheers the listeners up with Ride Till Nightfall. This song exhibits a softer touch than his darker albums.
This EP is proof of Davis’s reputation as a crafty musician. All the songs on this EP were created using simple tools, something Davis advocates for. They were recorded at his home in Perth, Australia. Sometimes We Arrive At The Short Fall is an example of creativity, might, and storytelling. The sound alone is enough to whisk the audience away to a Western frontier.
