Chris Ami Unveils Temperament, A Cinematic Electronic Debut

UK-based producer Chris Ami embarks on a new journey with the launch of his debut album Temperament, which was released on 13th February 2026. The nine-track album is a significant milestone in the UK electronic music artist’s career, as it offers a personal and unique musical experience that combines organic elements with electronic production in the genres of ambient, house, and electro.

Produced from his Hampshire-based studio, Chris Ami produces music at the intersection of cello, piano, violin, and orchestral composition with electronic beats, analog synths, and vocal processing. Temperament is a perfect representation of this musical intersection. The album is both personal and cinematic in nature, as it combines the warmth of organic instrumentation with the accuracy of electronic sound design.

The musical journey starts with the first track Hubris, which features a licensed vocal sample from the lecture “Comparative Philosophy – Seeing Through the Net” by philosopher Alan Watts. Watts’ philosophical musings on ego and self-deception provide the thematic foundation for the musical journey that follows. Each of the nine tracks features a single-word title that explores emotional and psychological states, taking the listener through a journey of confrontation, vulnerability, release, and resolution. The tracklist provides a clear narrative journey, making the album more than just a collection of songs. It is almost like a carefully designed journey through the inner self.

Professionally mastered through attended mastering sessions specifically designed to reflect the organic electronic nature of the album and distributed through LANDR on all major streaming platforms, Temperament is a confident debut album. The highlight track Hubris is already gaining popularity through Spotify’s Release Radar feature, which is introducing the track to new fans and taking them through the thoughtful and rich musical experience of Chris Ami.

Influenced by artists such as Bonobo, Jon Hopkins, Burial, Amon Tobin, and Floating Points, Chris Ami’s Temperament is a musical debut that signals the arrival of an artist who is not afraid to combine philosophy, emotion, and electronic music production into a single musical vision.
