Hold Out Your Hand

Q: What inspired you to write “Hold Out Your Hand”?

A: My life, your life, and every other person’s life on this planet. Watching everyone struggle so much can really make you want to do something.

Q: Can you tell us about your creative process in writing the song?

A: I follow my emotions and see where they take me. It’s a very organic way of going about things that leaves me with beautiful lyrics and melodies that I would never have come up with if I tried too hard.

Q: What linguistic elements did you focus on while writing the lyrics?

A: Imagination is everything. The more vivid the picture I paint for the listeners, the deeper they will feel it. Metaphors also give each listener their own unique interpretation of what the song means to them.

Q: How did you use repetition in the song to emphasize key themes?

A: When things are repeated over and over again people tend to catch on. That’s why advertising works as well as it does. The repeated phrases help listeners feel a connection with what’s being said.

Q: Can you elaborate on the metaphorical imagery used in the lyrics?

A: Life can be one big metaphor if you think about it enough. So why not bring that out in my music? It adds depth and complexity which enhances how each individual will understand it.

Q: How does the song’s structure contribute to its emotional impact?

A: Building up intensity gradually throughout verses then smacking listeners with a heavy chorus creates an emotional rollercoaster that people love to ride. It feels great when they get off though because of how resonant it is with them.

Q: What role does colloquial language and regional dialects play in the song?

A: Adding common language makes it feel like whoever is singing this knows what everyone else has gone through or is going through right now. It helps every listener connect on a personal level.

Q: How do you hope listeners will interpret and connect with “Hold Out Your Hand”?

A: In any way they can. The song will match the emotions of anyone who’s gone through similar struggles or even if they just appreciate good music.

Q: What message do you hope to convey to listeners through your music?

A: That they’re not alone in whatever they’re going through. These songs are meant to ease their pain and inspire them to keep on keeping on.

Q: What was the recording process like for “Hold Out Your Hand”?

A: It was a team effort to make sure that we captured all the emotions that came with it. We wanted to make sure that every single timbre we could think of complemented each other. It resulted in a sound I’m very proud of.

Q: How does “Hold Out Your Hand” fit into your overall artistic vision and body of work?

A: It adds a lot more depth and complexity that my previous songs didn’t have. I still stayed true as a songwriter though which has always been my roots.

Q: How does it feel to see such a positive response to “Hold Out Your Hand” from fans and critics alike?

A: All I can say is that it feels great, I feel humbled about it all. It’s given me even more motivation than ever before and I want to use this motivation to create something that’ll impact someone’s life in some kind of meaningful way.

Q: What do you want listeners to take away from “Hold Out Your Hand” after listening?

A: I hope people will feel resilience, hope, and connection in “Hold Out Your Hand.” Whether they’re dealing with their own struggles or just need a little comfort and inspiration, I want them to find solace and reassurance in this song.

Q: Is there anything else you’d like to share about the song or its creation?
