BLOCK CHANNEL Sets A Strong First Impression with “Strictly Business”

New kid on the block BLOCK CHANNEL makes a splash with “Strictly Business,” a thought-provoking track born out of a gritty blend of everyday reality, musical inspiration, and honest self-exploration. Released at the start of the month, it’s the culmination of a prolific six-month stint of self-recorded tracks written in the back bedroom of a Devon residence and comprising a total of 14 tracks.

Behind BLOCK CHANNEL is a single man using an acoustic guitar, a synth, a drum machine, a microphone, and an iPad. Following a 35-year business life, he’s swapping boardrooms for basslines and making music which is both deeply emotional and raw. His music is fueled by a passion for Gary Numan, The Art of Noise, and Massive Attack, and you’ll pick up on the echoes of their atmospheric textures and mournful melodies in the track.

“Strictly Business” is a story about loyalty and dishonesty and the cold calculation at times of business. It’s a cautionary story dressed up in hooks and textured production and it’s a wake-up call to beware of trusting good intentions in a world of cash as king. The track is modern and radio-friendly and leaves just the right amount to the imagination to have you hitting the replay button.
