Blacklight Beat Patrol Returns with Shapeshifting Song “Awe Walk”

Rhode Island’s Blacklight Beat Patrol is back with “Awe Walk,” a glitching, rhythm-shifting new single that dropped May 23. The 3-minute, 38-second song is the first preview of the electronic artist’s fourth album, due later in 2025.

“Awe Walk” is a bold expansion upon the project’s signature sound — rough, elemental, and ever so slightly askew. Put together out of fragments and air-particle textures, it never really moves in a direct line so much as draws you into its path. Fractured and chaotic one moment, weightless and airborne the next. The soundtrack comes courtesy of soundman Scott R. Corneau, who creates, records, and even produces it all himself from his own home studio.
