Backstrom Releases New Album “Dark Clouds”

Americana artist Backstrom releases his new album entitled Dark Clouds on November 13, an earnest acoustic comeback that puts his voice and storytelling ability to the forefront in both folk, rock, and country. Creating emotional tales of heart and soul, Backstrom writes a truthfulness in each lyric that garners an appreciation for raw, honest talent.

This time, Backstrom was in company with a highly talented group of musicians: Bart Topher’s male vocals, Nicky V’s intricate guitar work, Tim McDonald on piano and organ, Francisco Paz on drums and percussion, and Maciek Szczyciński handling bass. Collectively, they have created an album that’s both deeply personal and universally resonant.

Following on from the success of The Carousel earlier this year, Dark Clouds explores themes of love, loss, and resilience in a more dramatic way. With minimalist arrangements and soaring melodic depth, it offers a reflective, yet compelling, listening experience.
