ALFONSO CONSPIRACY
Alfonso Conspiracy Releases Brutal New Album A Mix Tape of Songs That Remind Me of Things That I’d Rather Forget
Alfonso Conspiracy is back and louder, darker, and heavier than ever. Solo industrial metal act by North England artist Max James, their new project, A Mixtape Of Songs That Remind Me Of Times I’d Rather Forget, is out and already rocking the underground with its gritty soundscape and brutal honesty.
It all started out as a teenage aspiration in isolation, and now it’s a sonic power in full flower. Eight years old, Max James has crafted his sound into something primal, cinematic. The new album is a marriage of 90s industrial nostalgia and modern metal fury with a decidedly gothic bent. It’s heavy, dramatic, and emotionally charged, written in response to personal turmoil.
Throughout its 13 tracks, gems like The Damage and Tape My Heart (Break It) demonstrate the high-octane sound of the project, its clean and aggressive vocals, its slamming riffs, and its synth-heavy environment. Fans are also in for a treat, Sandcastles is back remastered by request, in addition to a savage cover of Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance, both of which are streamable now.
Billed as “industrial metal pioneers with a multi-dimensional sound that is hard to imagine unless you hear it,” Alfonso Conspiracy is developing a growing fan base through performance and recordings alike. Armed with a pounding solo live setup and tours booked through 2025, Max James proves you don’t have to have an entire band in order to cause chaos.
The mixtape is out now. Listen, sense, and don’t look away.
