Al Kenizo ventures into weight of time in newest single “A Little More Time”

Coming out on May 9th, 2025, A Little More Time is a powerful return for Randwick singer Al Kenizo. No stranger to composing music from raw and impassioned spaces, Kenizo invites back into his world a song that takes on the human condition head-on.

The fresh single is a contemplative musing on time: how transient it is, how unmanageable it is, and how much it controls our lives. Born from a painfully real life experience itself, A Little More Time transforms hurt into a message of significance to all. “The more we have, the less we have. Time plays a big game with us,” reflects Kenizo on behalf of the song’s emotive core.

Captured in a somewhat atypical but close-up setting—practically nothing but the bathroom belonging to Kenizo—the track benefits from a sense of raw exposure. The acoustics in the room and the lack of distracting stimuli allowed the artist to bare all to emotion and to sound. From voice and audio to whatever else fueled a moment’s flash of inspiration, Kenizo bridges evocative abstraction and eerie honesty.

Complementing the immersion of the release itself are the music video and visuals created by the musician and released with the track. Adding a pictorial element to the sensory experience of the music, it highlights the multi-sensory quality the artist is striving to achieve.
