New Release: Sing Our Kids to Sleep by The Easter Parade

The Easter Parade’s first-ever single, Sing Our Kids to Sleep, released November 1st, is a touching return to music from Northamptonshire artist Matt Steven. Nearly ten years on from his last release, Steven-who produces and records under The Easter Parade-is back with a lushly orchestrated sound infusing nostalgia with cinematic elegance.

Recorded in Stevens’ own Indigo Scala Studio, Sing Our Kids to Sleep is a beautifully crafted piece that features the Betania Hernández String Quartet and is mastered by Pete Maher, whose credits include U2 and Katy Perry. The song is timeless, almost from the soundtrack of a classic black-and-white film.

Easter Parade draws from influences such as Tom Waits and Nick Cave, yet the music maintains its own unique freshness driven by growth and a journey that Steven has taken. This single is the first off his incoming EP, Raindrops on the Lens, setting high expectations for what’s to come in 2025.
