New Single from Electric High: “Weeping Gods”

Norwegian Alternative Hard Rockers Electric High out of Bergen have just released their powerful new single, Weeping Gods, the first salvo for their upcoming debut album, Colorful White Lies, which arrived on October 25th via Apollon Records.

Weeping Gods is a hard-driving, grungy anthem that explores themes of sin and redemption. The tune launches in like a runaway steam train, rumbling through thick, fuzzy guitar riffs and a thunderous bass line all tied together by a relentless drum groove. The lead vocals are instantly memorable, coming via a dual lead vocal approach from PV Staff and Olav Iversen, both almost whispering the haunted opening line: “I drank the tears of the Weeping Gods, may all of my days be blessed …” The single is about the dark attraction of confession and the vicious circle of guilt and forgiveness, all wrapped around a raw and unapologetic rock experience.

The track, written and recorded at Havnelageret Studio in Bergen, was self-produced by the band, with mixing and mastering by Iver Sandøy at Solslottet Studio. The intense vibe of the track is visually complemented by a video from directors Marius Mørch, Alek Perez, and Olav Iversen.
