Daph Veil Drops Debut Single “I Don’t Need You

Daph Veil is the new venture of musician Paula Laubach. The new single, “I Don’t Need You”, was out on September 27, 2024. It is an enchanting dark wave cut with atmospheric melodies that absorb listeners and emotionally charged lyrics.

Paula Laubach is known to be a multi-instrumentalist, and so she delivered all the vocals and instrumentation, aside from Jeff Conner’s drum contributions. The words are by Rebecca Price; thus, the track seems to be a haunting reflection of independence and personal growth.

“I Don’t Need You (Someday)” was once a guitar-driven track before it blossomed into the fully fledged dark wave cut that it is today and was recorded at Ice Cream Factory Studio in Austin, Texas. In that respect, it’s a great primer on what is to come from Daph Veil, and one that fans of emotive and atmospheric music will not want to miss.
