NIKIRÉ
NIKIRÉ has released AN INVITATION – The Music Version – An Oratorio, a distinctive project that brings a human-created life philosophy into musical form. Created by Tom Arild Junge, NIKIRÉ combines reflective writing with contemplative music to explore values, presence, human connection and the choices that shape everyday life.
The project grew from a deeply personal period of reflection following the loss of Junge’s son Erik. From that experience developed a wider philosophy centered on values such as honesty, compassion, dignity, forgiveness, humility and love. Rather than presenting these ideas as fixed rules, AN INVITATION encourages listeners to consider how they might become part of lived experience.
Structured as a contemporary oratorio, the album unfolds across twelve chapters based directly on the philosophical text. Junge wrote the lyrics, philosophy, structure and overall concept, while Suno was used transparently as a creative production tool for composition, arrangement and vocal performance. The final musical results were then selected and shaped to support the meaning and contemplative atmosphere of the work.
AN INVITATION is currently available in English and Norwegian. A Spanish version is also planned for release in 2026, extending the project to another audience.
The album is only one part of the wider NIKIRÉ project. Around 40 additional songs have been released, exploring subjects including love, forgiveness, vulnerability, dignity, relationships and inner direction. Together, they expand the philosophy beyond the oratorio and offer different ways of engaging with its ideas through music and reflection.
