Burn The Witch: herbie the rabbit Takes Aim at Conformity and Complicity

herbie the rabbit has released his new single “Burn The Witch,” the first in a planned series of releases leading towards a new album over the coming year.

The solo project of former Ubiquity Machine member Dan Marsh, herbie the rabbit explores what happens when people stop questioning the stories they are told. “Burn The Witch” focuses on conformity, collective guilt and the uncomfortable ease with which a crowd can decide who deserves blame. Its central idea asks listeners to consider where the line sits between truth, obedience and consent, particularly when social pressure becomes stronger than independent thought.

The song also draws inspiration from the story of Lilith, whose defiance and association with forbidden knowledge inform its striking concept and cover artwork.

Produced by Jordan Lawlor of M83, “Burn The Witch” introduces herbie the rabbit with dark wit, introspection and a quietly furious perspective that promises plenty for the project ahead.
