Edward Grant’s “Electronic Scream” Marks a New Era in Synthwave Music

Out of the depths of Queens, New York, a new name in electronic music is making waves. Edward Grant, until now a film composer, takes his first bold step into the limelight with Electronic Scream, a debut solo album he describes as ‘scream-ing’ to be noticed, in the crowded world of synthwave and electronic music.

Grant draws inspiration from legends such as Daft Punk and Timecop1983 along with film classics like Bladerunner and Akira for his stunning debut. Midway through 2025, Electronic Scream will be released on April 10 and-themed around a world of Edward’s imagination- everything from the cover art to location for the studio, wholly designed by him, was recorded in NYC. The record blends rich textures and layered moods forming what feels like a cinematic journey.

Electronic Scream is different than any other modern pieces in the sense that it cannot be classified into one genre. With a mix of various styles of electronic music, Grant leads listeners to a “Driving on the nighttime highway where anything could happen”, capturing a blend of nostalgia and imaginativeness, which unpredictably ebbs and flows throughout the experience.

With Electronic Scream, we can confirm that Edward Grant is recording primed to release an album. With this first solo project, he does not simply come close to meeting expectations; he blows them out of the water.
